Financial Aid

Rent payment deferments will only be allowed under the following conditions:

Rent payments may only be deferred by providing SAMI with a "Consent for Release of Information" fully completed by the Financial Aid Office. The amount of aid available must be greater than the rent deferred.
The only payments that can be deferred with Fall Financial Aid are the August and September payments, unless the 1st payment due is in August, in which case no deferment will be granted.
The only payments that can be deferred with Spring Financial Aid are the December and January payments.
Deferments are only allowed on 3 and 4 bedroom apartment leases. No deferments are allowed for 1 or 2 bedroom apartment leases.
All payments that have been deferred must be paid within 5 days from the disbursement date listed on the "Consent for Release of Information" form.
