Subleasing Policies
If you are looking to sublease your apartment, please list your apartment below, and consider sharing to the Illinois State University Facebook Groups (avoid FB Marketplace and Craigslist).
If you are looking for an apartment to sublease, please review the below listings and reach out to the original tenant.
Policies:
- If looking at a 2, 3, or 4BR apartment, you must be a student and of the same gender as the original tenant
- If looking at a 1BR, you can be any gender, and/or a non-student. Non students will be charged a $95 application fee.
- Once you've spoken to the original tenant and discussed the agreement, a SAMI agent can send you the sublease application link.
- Once subleasee is approved, the agreement will be first sent to the original tenant to sign and pay the $300 sublease fee.
- Upon signing and payment, the agreement will then be sent to the subleasee to sign and pay their move in/admin fee ($295 for a 1BR apartment; $195 for a 2, 3, or 4BR apartment).
9 minutes from campus and 9 minutes from uptown, 3 other roommates, two girls and one guy so anyone is welcome.

This is a one bed, one bath unit, with kitchen and living room, fully furnished. Laundry on site. Close to campus. Perfect for one person or a couple. Great, quiet, clean place to live!
June is paid for. Willing to leave my loft bed due to the smaller bedroom! Lived there a year with no problems at all. Great neighbors, easy commute, decent parking lot, fast internet, and very respectful roomates. The other male roomates are 21 & 21, and into powerlifting, bodybuilding, nutrition, pursuing degrees in psychology and business. Hobbies include: gaming, lifting, shopping, cologne, fashion, and trips to surrounding states. Both roomates work as servers at local restaurants.

My name is Mya Mangan and I'm looking for someone to take over my bedroom for the spring semester of 2025. I am planning to study abroad and need a female student to move in with my roommate. The apartment is about a 5-10 minute walk to campus, amazing location has two bedrooms and one bathroom, and was recently renovated so everything is updated. There is no in-unit washer or drier however there is free laundry in the building. Rent is $522 per month and includes internet/recycling as well as a parking spot, utilities are an additional payment of about $30 per month depending on the use.
